CubeLog

Speedcubing tracker · Aug 2026 – present

A command-line speedcubing timer and solve tracker that computes official WCA averages (ao5/ao12/ao100) with DNF and +2 penalties, tracks improvement trends and personal bests, estimates the odds of beating a target time, and generates HTML progress reports with dependency-free SVG charts.

Activities

Jane Street WiSE

Jul 2026

Probability and problem-solving in quant trading.

Cornell Trading Competition

Clover Math

Sponsored by Wolfram & Jane Street · Co-President, 2024 – 2026

  • Co-led a student-run math organization that hosts an annual math competition for 170+ students, sponsored by Jane Street, Wolfram, and Crumbl.
  • Designed competition problems and full written solutions alongside the problem-writing committee.
  • Hosted guest speakers and ran review sessions to help students prepare.
  • Handled event logistics from planning through competition day.

Program I & Program II

Stanford University Mathematics Camp · 2024, 2025

  • One of 40 students worldwide; abstract algebra & number theory (2024), algebraic topology (2025).
  • Presented on constructible n-gons via field theory (2024) and the Poincaré–Hopf theorem (2025), which you can play with below.

The hairy ball theorem

From my SUMaC II talk. Drag to spin the ball, or grab a glowing cowlick and push it around.

Push a cowlick anywhere you like and the hair re-combs around it, but you can never make it lie completely flat: every continuous tangent field on the sphere vanishes somewhere, so a cowlick always survives. By Poincaré–Hopf, the cowlicks' indices always add up to χ(S²) = 2.

Just for fun!
